Paths of painting

Ural Vision Gallery presents a group show “Paths of Painting”, the participants are: Daniil Archipenko, Alisa Gorelova, Irina Drozd, Anton Kupriyanov, Irina Petrakova, Egor Plotnikov, Denis Rusakov, Nikolai Prokofiev, Anna Snegina, Oleg Ustinov. Painting today is experiencing a kind of “renaissance” as a medium of contemporary artistic practices. Along with performance, installation, and new media art, painting techniques continue to act as an adequate mediator between the viewer and the artist, his/her perceptual experience, optics, and reaction to changes in the world. The exhibition offers to trace some of the trajectories of contemporary authors on the path to exploring the possibilities of the language of painting and includes three parts: landscape, environment and (im)corporeality.
